Why I Became A Fitness Trainer
Prior to becoming a trainer I spent endless hours a week exercising with the intention of developing a lean and sculpted body. For 15 years I constantly added new exercises, consumed buckets of protein powders, fat burners and followed strict dieting regimes. Unfortunately, after years of dedication my results were minimal at best and very disappointing! Finally at age 35, when I was about ready to give, I came across a new approach to strength training that changed my life forever.
Everything that I was taught and everything that I believed was true, no longer made sense once I learned about High Intensity Strength Training from champion bodybuilder Dorian Yates. He gave me the training formula for success that I've continued to use for the past 24 years. Dorian told me "the key to muscular growth lies in exerting the maximum of stress in the least possible time." After hearing this brilliant statement, I immediately improved my nutrition plan and adapted to 3 short H.I.T workouts a week. This simple program literally melted away all of my unwanted fat and completely transformed my body in just 12-weeks!
After experiencing my own transformation I wanted to help others to succeed, so I studied to become a personal trainer. I'm currently a master trainer with certifications in Sports Medicine, Sports Nutrition, Stretch Therapy, Corrective Exercise, and High Intensity Training. I also have extensive history of working with elevated BMI clients and individuals with injuries or mobility issues.
